How does GO / NOT-GO acceptance work?

The GO member must enter and pass the complete length of the thread by hand, without excessive force. The NOT-GO member may not enter more than two turns from either end.

Why is the GO member made in tungsten carbide?

The GO member passes through the bore on every check, so it wears the most. Tungsten carbide is far more wear resistant than steel.

What is the difference between Reversible and Trilock?

Reversible gauges cover small diameters, 0.5 to 8 mm. Trilock gauges cover larger diameters, with plate and paddle styles up to 400 mm.
