GO gauge

Enters and passes the complete length of the thread, screwed by hand without excessive force.

NOT-GO gauge

May not enter more than two turns from either end, screwed by hand without excessive force.

About this gauge

Unified thread gauges: what they are and how to choose

Unified threads use a 60° thread angle and are specified by diameter and threads per inch, for example 1/4-20 UNC. UNC is the coarse series and UNF the fine series.

Plug gauges check internal threads and ring gauges check external threads. Class 2A is the common external class, and tighter or looser classes can be made when your drawing calls for them.

Each gauge ships with a NABL accredited test certificate. We supply across India and take enquiries from outside India.

What is the difference between UNC and UNF gauges?

UNC is the coarse thread series with fewer threads per inch, and UNF is the fine series with more threads per inch. The gauge has to match the series on your drawing.
